The staff waiting at table were excellent , particularly the waitress who was friendly and chatty without being too much. Good ambience, busy but still quiet enough to hold a conversation. Friend with hearing issues managed to cope.

Arkle Manor

As a last resort, I booked outdoor dining at Sorrel and asked two friends to come over. Although we didn&#39;t have a tasting menu, we basically ordered everything on the menu. Although it is also a Michelin one-star restaurant, to be honest, it is really average. The appetizer was nothing memorable, and the truffle pasta sauce was a bit too salty, which really buried the aroma of the white truffle. The duck was the only good dish, but it was strange that there was a lot of fennel, which made the taste quite distracting. The sea urchin butter with grilled pork chops made me even more confused. The sea urchin butter did not have the sweetness of the sea urchin, but only the fishy smell of seafood. In short, I don&#39;t particularly recommend this restaurant, but during the epidemic, it is not easy to come out and have a good meal, so eat it and cherish it.

The food was of great quality &amp; staff were excellent on service. The poor chairs gave us back ache as they have no support on cushion, otherwise excellent.

Treated my friends from Norfolk for lunch  and we all had delicious meals served by Zoe who was very attentive and pleasant.  I shall be returning..

Booked a table for two last minute lunch cannot fault the food or service. Will definately be back. Lovely location as well so it&#39;s worth a visit ????

My friend and I had a delightful lunch today at the Arkle Manor.  When I asked for a change to the coffee I ordered it was done so quickly and with a lovely smile nothing was too much trouble.  We had varied waiters and waitresses serve us and all were kind and looked like they were happy to look after us.

Aldis is an excellent addition to restaurants for Ashtead and indeed Surrey. Only Peruvian style around and the food is delicious
